Headed up by managing director Brendan Clough, an experienced industrial abseiler and arborist, Access All Areas is a New Zealand owned and operated business, offering all the benefits of international experience alongside modern techniques.

Brendan has spent more than his fair share of time harnessed into the upper branches of some fairly sizeable trees and buildings around the world. Basically if it’s out of reach, provides a challenge and requires technical rope work – he’s in!

Having fuelled his passion in the United Kingdom when he started out mountaineering and climbing, it didn’t take long for Brendan to realise his happy place was off solid ground, using his mind to assess the safest and most effective way to tackle a problem – no matter how sky high.

With an incredible diversity of experience ranging across all manner of construction, glazing, sealant, steel erection, maintenance, salvage, and helicopter operations, through to demolition, inspection, complex access systems, rescue and evacuation cover, all manner of cleaning, crane work and mechanical rigging; there are not many situations which are out of his reach.

“It’s pretty satisfying bringing together the mental details with the physical challenges of access – and this is where I really thrive. There’s quite a sense of achievement in coming up with a solution to a problem which otherwise may seem out of reach.”

Having worked extensively throughout the United Kingdom, as well as time spent in Denmark, Saudi Arabia and New Caledonia, Brendan now calls New Zealand home. His feet are firmly planted on the lifestyle property he shares with his Kiwi partner Tracy and their son Luka.

Brendan is passionate about the great outdoors, whether in his work capacity or exploring New Zealand by foot and bicycle with his family.
